A Whisky and a Beverage Packaging Designer Winner of the Ameristar Award 2019

Bob Dylan Heaven’s Door whiskey and design agency O-I were awarded at the Ameristar Awards 2019.

The AmeriStar Awards is one of the oldest and most prestigious awards dedicated to choosing the best packaging of the year in the industry. The most creative packaging ideas are rewarded along with innovation and excellence.

This year, Heaven’s Door whiskey won the award for best design in the Alcoholic Beverage Category. Its design was achieved by the design agency Studio 111, Berlin Packaging. This design division conceived the rounded-shoulder custom bottle with Bob Dylan’s distinctive iron doors.

The whiskey brand commemorates Bob Dylan’s contribution to the city of Nashville. It recently opened a distillery and art centre as part of the renovation of the 160-year-old Elm Street Church.

The bottle design firm O-I received an award in the Design Excellence Category. The Ameristar awards recognized a package that combines structure and graphic design. To do this, the judges evaluate how improved functionality can persuade consumers to think about products in a new way.

By creating authentic glass bottles in more than 20 countries, O-I creates beautiful, innovative bottle packaging that builds brands and carries consumer intrigue.
