Alcohol-free spirits from Québec ready for Dry January (or not!)
The Quebec distillery NOROI expands its range of non-alcoholic beverages with ESPRIT.
The Dry January Challenge, or better known as the 28 Day Challenge in Quebec, does not go unnoticed for the NOROI distillery. Following the launch of the Brise-Glace Gin Tonic in 2019, the distillery keeps its commitment to low alcohol consumption. Now, it’s the turn of spirits, with the distillates “Esprit-des-Caraïbes”, “Esprit-de-London”, and ready-to-drink beverages such as “Veneziano Spritz”.
Esprit, offers non-alcoholic spirits that “perfectly replicate the aromas and taste of classic spirits”. For example, Esprit-de-London, a non-alcoholic gin with intense notes of juniper berries, and Esprit-des-Caraïbes, a non-alcoholic rum made from a distillate of molasses and a blend of homemade spices. Note that this is the first alcohol-free rum in Quebec!
As for the range of ready-to-drink beverages, following the 2019 launch of Brise-Glace, NOROI is adding a new spritz with citrus notes at less than o.5% alcohol with Veneziano.
“This is a great alternative for those who wish to reduce their alcohol consumption or simply vary the pleasures while maintaining an authentic aromatic profile,” said Jonathan Robin, president of the NOROI distillery in a press release.
The distillery’s new spirits are available now on the SAQ website. Starting at $8.99 for a package of 4 x 355mL cans for Veneziano. However, the distillery’s gin and rum will not be available until February. Selling price: $29.90 per 750mL bottle.
Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
