“Chairman’s reserve Maï Thaï” competition
Monday, October 1, 2018 at 3pm: the “Chairman’s reserve Maï Thaï” competition starts at Dirty Dick!
The seven candidates in the race competed to try to get an initiatory trip to Saint Lucia, a Caribbean island. On the spot, the winner will be able to discover Caribbean culture, and meet other bartenders who have always been bottle-fed in Mai Taï.
The theme of the competition was to reinterpret the famous cocktail with a personal touch. In front of the four members of the jury, consisting especially of Guillaume Leblanc, the competitors had 10 minutes each to prove themselves: 3 minutes of set-up, and 7 minutes of execution.
And it was François Babel who finally won his ticket to the warm waters of Saint Lucia by making a colourful cocktail decorated with a bird cage. As for Guillaume Leblanc, the Dirty Dick’s appointed bartender, he said his goodbyes.
