Once upon a time, a love story unfolded that birthed Maison Hardy, the quintessential French cognac.

In 1863, Anthony Hardy, an English gentleman enchanted by the allure of the Cognac region founded Maison Hardy, embracing his newfound French identity by adopting the name Antoine and symbolizing it with the iconic Red Rooster, a strong emblem of France.

Over the years, Maison Hardy has evolved, introducing premium ranges such as the Wedding Anniversary series. In collaboration with the famous crystal house LALIQUE, it launched the Quatre Saisons, a limited-edition collection of rare eaux-de-vie in exquisite decanters.

Today, Bénédicte Hardy represents the fifth generation. Ambassador of the House throughout the world, she is in charge of development for North America, perpetuating the heritage of the House of Hardy.

Cognac Hardy recently shone at the Design & Packaging Masters 2023, clinching a Gold Medal for their VS and Silver Medals for the VSOP and XO expressions.

Hardy XO: A Symphony of Finess

Cognac Hardy XO

Crafted as a Fine Champagne blend, it marries the best crus in the Cognac region, aging eaux-de-vie meticulously for 10 to 20 years. The aging process involves a reduction in four stages and maturation in lightly toasted Limousin oak barrels.

The result is a sensory masterpiece with a nose redolent of rose petal, ripe date, and a cigar box. The palate unfolds in complexity with distinctive date notes, concluding with light tobacco notes in the finish.

Embark on a journey of exquisite flavors with Maison Hardy’s signature cocktail: Mandarin Occidental

THE INGREDIENTS

  • 45 ml Cognac Hardy
  • 10 ml Mandarin Napoléon
  • 1 dash Angostura
  • Flambé an orange zest

 

THE RECIPE

Put ice cubes in a glass. Add the Madarine Napoleon, the dash of Angostura and the Cognac Legend Hardy 1863 in a shaker with ice and shake. Remove the ice cubes and pour into a glass. Flambé an orange zest on top of the cocktail. Garnish with an orange zest.

This concoction is a testament to the artistry behind Hardy’s distinguished cognacs, offering a delightful journey for the palate.
