Covid-19: musicians and Rebecca Creek Distillery join forces to donate meals

An event by Rebecca Creek Distillery and several musicians facilitated the donation of meals to people in need during covid-19.

On Sunday 19th April an eight hour live music concert took place at the Rebecca Creek Whisky Distillery on Facebook. Among the artists who participated were Jack Ingram, a country music legend. Also, Gabe Garcia, Clay Hollis, Mario Flores, Bri Bagwell, Drew Womack, Zane Williams, Kyle Park, Randall King and Sean McConnell.

This concert was organized for the purpose of raising funds for Meals On Wheels San Antonio. During the broadcast of the concert, people were able to make donations to Meals on Wheels. In this way, they helped finance the program at this time of great need.

Now, more than ever, Meals on Wheels needs our support to continue caring for our elderly neighbors and those in need.” Rebecca Creek founder and owner Steven Ison said in a statement.

Among other forms of support, the distillery stopped production of its alcohol to create hand sanitizing gel. So far, Rebecca Creek has donated more than 1,400 gallons of the gel called Love Distilled. The gel is intended for frontline pandemic responders and other essential employees.
