Diageo acquires Tipplesworth brand of premixed cocktails

The world’s number one liquor selling giant, Diageo, buys the specialist premixed cocktail brand Tipplesworth. We’ll tell you more below.

The Tipplesworth brand, founded in 2013 by bartender Frankie Snobel, offers pre-bottled cocktails that only need alcohol added. Already members of Diageo, they offer their cocktails in the United Kingdom. Their Espresso Martini and Passion Fruit Martini cocktails are available in around 100 establishments in Great Britain. A way to offer consistent cocktails quickly and to scale.

According to the CGA, Diageo specified that nine million consumers drink cocktails at around 42,000 outlets in the UK, a consumption that is steadily increasing in bars. According to Melissa Wisdom, commercial director for Diageo Great Britain, “The acquisition of Tipplesworth brings another major innovation to our brand portfolio“.

It is also an opportunity to exploit the cocktail sector. “The growing popularity of cocktails in Britain is one of the trends driving the growth of spirits. This means that we can provide quality cocktails to consumers on-trade” in the country.

Finally, although details have not been revealed, bartender Snobel will join the Diageo GB team.

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
