Five things you should know about beer
You think you know everything about beer, so answer these questions before you even read the answer.
Where did it come from ?
Its origin is still rather unclear since it has not always had the same recipe. However, we know that more or less similar alcoholic beverages existed more than 5,000 years ago. Beer brewing was then stabilized and democratized during Antiquity and the Middle Ages. Until it became industrialized and became an important economic sector.
Beer and sport, what should we think about it ?
Too bad we don’t teach you a new one! Sharing a small foam after an activity will slow down your recovery and rehydration (its diuretic effect is now well known). In short, beer after sport, why not, but in moderation !
Who produces the most ?
You would have said Belgium? Or France? And no, it’s China, the biggest beer producer.
One of the most drunk alcoholic beverages in the world ?
According to the World Health Organization, nearly half of the alcohol consumed in the world is consumed in the form of spirits (spirits, vodka, liqueurs…). Beer comes second with 34.3% of drinks. Wine only represents about 11%.
Why are they blond, brown or white ?
It is a simple question of malt: the more it is roasted (the cereal is heated to various temperatures according to the desired taste), the darker its colour will be.
So, did you make a faultless one ?
Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
