New Sui gin by Suntory creates a new category
This Tuesday Suntory launched a new gin called Sui, a new recipe and a new category in this drink.
Suntory’s Sui gin creates a new category in Japanese gins. This recipe uses the traditional ingredients: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root, cardamom, cinnamon, lemon and bitter orange peel. But the key ingredient in this new recipe is yuzu (Japanese lemon), in addition to ryokucha (green tea) and ginger. These ingredients provide a unique Japanese flavor, and a refreshing taste.
Sui 翆 means jade in Japanese, a name which is reflected in the bottle through the color green.
Suntory revealed a commercial where they show how to taste the drink, as in a gin soda, with one part Sui and four parts soda.
