Rémy Cointreau negotiates acquisition of Maison de Champagne J. de Telmont
The Rémy Cointreau group announced its negotiations to acquire a majority stake in the J. de Telmont champagne house.
The Maison de Champagne J. de Telmont was founded in 1912 and produces the “J. de Telmont” brand of champagne. It is one of the last family champagne estates led by Pascal Lhopital and Bertrand Lhopital, fourth generation.
Should the negotiation be concluded, Bertrand Lhopital will continue his work with his team both for the vineyards and the supply and production. This will ensure that the legacy and experience of the family in this champagne house will be perpetuated.
The scope of the acquisition offer includes the brands, inventories, production tools and property assets of the estate. As well as the vineyards in Champagne. With this acquisition, Rémy Cointreau will enhance its portfolio of exceptional wines and spirits. Without a doubt, with a high-end champagne brand. Over time, it would offer real development potential, particularly on an international level.
