Roku gin and Haku vodka, two new spirits from Suntory

Suntory is a brand which no needs introduction. One of the largest spirits companies in the world, it continues to innovate to meet consumer demand. Indeed, the production of whisky which is the core business of the company is struggling to meet the needs of the market, because of the time taken by distillation and bottling. Suntory has therefore thought to diversify by moving to the creation of new products that do not impose such constraints. It is in this perspective that Roku gin and Haku vodka appeared.

True to its reputation for quality, Suntory has once again made things big. The Roku recipe includes, in addition to the classic juniper, other plant species from Japan. We find Yuzu, Sencha tea, Gyokuro tea, Sansho pepper, Sakura flowers and leaves. In total, six Japanese ingredients plus angelica root and coriander seed.

Haku vodka is made from Japanese white rice. After fermentation, it is distilled twice in stills and then filtered in bamboo charcoal before being bottled. Marketed in Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom, Roku gin and Haku vodka are available for $ 28.
