On Tuesday, October 16, the National Assembly passed a bill to tax rum producers in the French Overseas Departments. The text refers to ultramarine taxation of spirits. Professionals in the sector are very concerned about the adoption of this measure, which would lead to higher prices and impact current and future jobs.
