Princess Victoria Bar in London

This famous bar is one of the oldest gin palaces in London. It is a beautiful three-storey red brick building located in Shepherd’s Bush.

Recently opened its doors after major renovations including five new bedrooms on the first floor.

The dining room with its imposing horseshoe-shaped bar, has working fireplaces and black walls, enhanced by beautiful botanical engravings and moulded ceilings. Dark leather benches, sparkling chandeliers and Victorian tables in dark stained wood complete the decoration.

Originally built in 1829, it features the famous 1829 room on the upper floor – a private dining room with its own bar. The walls are covered with tropical murals printed in black and white. There is also a small terraced garden at the back and a new garden at the front, filled with silver birches and planted laurels.

The five bedrooms are called gin cocktails. Small attentions of all kinds including porridge jars and a supply of bananas and apples. Plus THE Nespresso machine. The bathrooms are tiled in black and white and equipped with gigantic Italian showers.
