The ICA Sake Bar

The Institute of Contemporary Art in London, untitled 2019, awaits every sake lover.

Between art and sake, untitled 2019 visitors enjoy the atmosphere set between a long table and chairs. The artist, Rirkrit Tiravanija has been working here for 25 years, participated in the creation of the bar. Here, Tiravanija seeks the idea that the Japanese concept of being close to the ground takes on life. “It’s a place to sit, think, talk and contemplate,” he says.

The bar not only serves the best sake, but also serves dishes influenced by Japanese gastronomy. For an excellent result, they consult Rochelle Cantine, who is already in charge of the coffee and restaurant at the ICA.
