PENTA brings us a countdown of the trendiest places where to taste cocktails around the world.
Now that everything has been revived shortly after the pandemic, many cocktail bars around the world have reopened their doors offering new cocktail menus and following the current mixology trends, especially in Europe where new places to taste cocktails have emerged.
Where to taste cocktails in…
-EUROPE
*Barcelona: mixologists Simone Caporale and Marc Alvarez lead Sips where they propose classic cocktails combined with the latest technology in drinks and trends. The customer experience is very warm since the bar does not have a physical bar.
*Netherlands: Dutch bartenders Timo Jansen and Tess Posthumus have opened Dutch Courage, a bar focused on genever (traditional Dutch gin). Here we can find a variety of more than 150 bottles and cocktails based on genever.

*Paris: Marta Paris bar is located in the Barrière Le Fouquet’s hotel. This speakeasy is located behind a secret door of the hotel. A luxurious and sexy atmosphere with velvet furniture.
*London: The NoMad Restaurant’s cocktail menu combines traditional drinks with a selection of NoMad favorites and a new selection focused on London’s seasons.
-UNITED STATES
*Los Angeles: New York’s famed Death & Co. moves to Los Angeles, one of the most influential and creative cocktail bars of this century.
*New York: Dante, the best bar in the world, moves to the West Village, opening Dante West Village at Hudson and Perry Streets. The furnishings are beautiful with a hand-carved marble bar with green velvet benches, vintage lighting and custom wallpaper. The bar maintains its Italian essence with Martinis and aperitifs, from Negroni to Spritz.
-ASIA
*Singapore: Republic Bar is the newest venue at The Ritz-Carlton Milenia Singapore. A 1960s-inspired bar whose cocktail menu recounts historical and cultural anecdotes from Singapore, the United Kingdom, Italy and the United States. The menu also offers 1960s-era cocktails and spirits.
*Bangkok: The BKK Social Club is the newest addition to the extra-luxury Four Seasons Hotel on the Chao Phraya River.

*Hong Kong: it is the first speakeasy concept in Hong Kong where to taste cocktails. The Diplomat is a creation of John Nugent, the award-winning Seattle mixologist. A very luxurious place where we can taste mini martinis, Gibsons, Tuxedos and versions of modern classics such as cocktails with baijiu, for example the espresso martini. You will also find a place in the Diplomat’s Back Room to listen to DJ’s.
