Prepare Sunday’s brunch with this cocktail based on Chartreuse that can only bring you a pinch of sparkle when you taste.

The cocktail was created by the Pourhouse bar in Vancouver, Canada. It’s called L’amour Rouge. A mixture of lemon juice, Chartreuse and bourbon washed with raspberry butter. To prepare the cocktail properly, anticipate the preparation of the bourbon, which should rest for 4 hours after cooking.

 

L’Amour Rouge Cocktail

Ingredients

20 ml **bourbon washed with raspberry butter

10 ml Yellow Chartreuse

10 ml fresh lemon juice

30 ml sparkling wine

Type of glass

Cocktail or flute glass

 

**Bourbon washed with raspberry butter

In a frying pan, melt 70 grams of unsalted butter together with 60 grams of frozen raspberries. Stir until ingredients are incorporated without burning. Add the mixture to a 750 ml bottle of Buffalo Trace bourbon. Cover and let stand for four hours at room temperature.

 

Preparation l’Amour Rouge

Combine ingredients (except wine) in a shaker. Shake vigorously for 8 seconds. Finely strain into cocktail glass or flute. Add the last sparkling wine.

 

Do not drive under the influence of alcohol. Consume sparingly.
