CBD cocktails: how to make CBD infusions in cocktails
In mixology, CBD cocktails bring a new dimension, especially in relaxation. We show you how to prepare them with CBD oils.
With the reopening, later curfews and possible get-togethers with friends, the opportunity to share cocktails presents itself. But preparing cocktails with CBD is shown as an alternative way to consume alcohol, although it is important to know that cocktails can also be made without alcohol.
Before proposing cocktail recipes with CBD, we explain a bit what it is and how its consumption works.
What is CBD
CBD or cannabidiol is a cannabinoid, an organic compound found in cannabis, the main plant component in hemp strains. You probably know hemp for its organic uses ranging from personal care products to tissue creation.
CBD is considered to be the non-psychotropic cannabinoid of the future, both because of the safety of its consumption and the fact that it can be consumed in a variety of ways. Derived in different forms, such as raw flowers, dyes, oils, waxes and more, it has both medical and industrial properties.
Oils, for example, allow us to dose CBD. That is why it is presented as a perfect ingredient to prepare cocktails as well as being liquid. To prepare cocktails we need to make infusions of the oil with the drink. It will be a way to enjoy drinks in an alternative way, as far as sensation is concerned and will allow to soften the euphoric effect that alcohol can cause.
