An authentic sake bar in Paris, opened by the multi-starred chef Joël Robuchon

Since April, the famous chef Joël Robuchon, who recently passed away, invites the public to discover the world of sake through the opening of a tea room, restaurant, bakery but above all an authentic sake bar located in the heart of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, at 184 rue du faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Having a special affection for the land of the rising sun, the multi-star chef was finally able to honour this emblematic Japanese drink through a partnership with Hiroshi Sakurai, the producer of the famous Dassaï sake. Composed of three floors separating the different functions of the establishment (takeaway, French-Japanese restaurant, sake bar), the restaurant has the look of a laboratory by its white color and its very square presentation. Every preparation has its right place in order to be put in value, enough to once again put Joël Robuchon in the spotlight.

At first glance the Japanese café Tanuki, located on Adams Avenue in San Diego, is a café like any other. And yet, every day at 5:30 pm, this traditional Japanese coffee turns into a sake bar. After which, finished the pastries and the matcha latte, the bar proposes then more than one hundred variety of sake that one can taste accompanied by some tempuras, sushis and other typically Japanese dishes. A funny way to promote Japanese culture.
