Do you wonder why we associate a specific mood with a particular alcohol? Well, the answer hasn’t been found accurately, but patterns of behavior and body responses affirm certain attitudes.

Feeling Sexier: Spirits

Spirits give us a more confident side to ourselves. Why does a glass of whiskey make us feel more “elegant”? Because that’s how we associate it. A rum, or vodka, drinks associated with the party, will also make us uninhibit and affirm our confidence.

Feeling relaxed: red wine and beer

Red wine may help us feel more relaxed and make us sleep faster, as Italian scientists discovered melatonin (sleep hormone) in red varieties. However, it has not been confirmed whether the hormone is found in wine after fermentation.

Feeling aggressive: spirits

Again, the spirits, the hard alcohols, reveal more aspects of our personality and encourage certain attitudes, although clearly not the same for everyone. Vodka, for example, decreases neuronal activity in the prefrontal cortex, which regulates the level of aggressiveness.

So, better drink moderately and learn to taste, right?

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
