Discover The elegant decanter for The Glenturret whisky by Lalique

It is called The Glenturret Provenance and is the first whisky decanter made of glass in the series The Glenturret by Lalique.

The Glenturret x Lalique alliance provides the oldest whisky distillery in Scotland with a project called The Trinity. This project is based on three cornerstones: “origin, skill and passion.

To bring these decanters to life, The Glenturret will release several exclusive models. The first creation is limited to 320 units. Imagined by Marc Larminaux, Lalique’s creative and artistic director, in this creation “the barley is represented by a finish that combines shiny glass and frosted glass in the pattern, hand-cut”. Larminaux said about the bottle.

Inside the decanter we found a rare whisky. The Glenturret Provenance is a whisky created by Bob Dalgarno, master distiller of the Scottish distillery. Provenance was born from three barrels filled in 1987. Its precious liquid was bottled on December 4, 2020, its 33rd birthday. A single malt with a degree of 43.7% that has not been cold filtered and inspired by three personalities dear to both brands. They are: René Lalique, considered one of the greatest master glassworkers of the 20th century; Elizabeth Philips, the owner of “Hosh Mill”, probably the first woman distiller; and James Farlie, who resumed production at The Glenturret distillery in 1957, 30 years later his silence”.

On March 29, 2019, Lalique Group acquired 50% of The Glenturret for an estimated 18 million euros. While expanding its brand portfolio, the group aims to develop the Scottish distillery that dates back to 1775 and to increase whisky production from 170,000 liters per year in 2019 to 500,000 liters in the coming years.
