Lovely Lingfield Gin: a gin distilled with racetrack turf
Because they have decided not to do like anyone else, the ingredients and the winner’s reward are extraordinary.
George Hill, race director, commented: “We wanted the victory in Lingfield to be a little different, because we are one of the busiest[racetracks] in Europe.
The distiller, located in Dorking, created Lovely Lingfield Gin exclusively for the racecourse. The botanical plants come from the Lingfield Park estate: Bramley apples, lavender, rosehips, lemon mint and even track grass.
The new gin will be served in the bars on site and instead of a trophy, a bottle will be offered to the winning owners!
Lovely Lingfield Gin is packaged in a porcelain bottle with the logo designed by Lingfield Park Resort.
Kate Gregory, co-founder of The Gin Kitchen, said: “We are delighted with the results. We had never used grass before, but we loved the idea. We had no idea how good it tasted! »
But apparently the taste has seduced since production has increased. To such an extent that production in a small base site will now take place in an 80 square metre barn.
Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
