Tales Of The Cocktail opens nominations for the Spirited Awards 2019

Call open from April 22 to May 13 to submit global nominations for the 13th edition of the annual Spirited Awards® by Tales of The Cocktail foundation, which recognize professionals, organizations and establishments that are redefining the spirits industry.

The award categories highlight a wide range of talents, from bartenders, journalists and brand ambassadors, to brands and media, to ensure that every aspect of the industry is well represented and recognised for its contributions.

In addition, starting this year, three new categories will be added to the Spirited Awards®: an American Classic Award that will recognize a pillar bar of its community, an International Classic Award, recognizing the same award on a global scale, and a global Philanthropy Award. The latter will focus on outstanding service from an individual or institution that demonstrates outstanding commitment to the hospitality community. Whether through direct financial support, development of charitable or educational programs, volunteerism and/or leadership in philanthropy.

This year experts such as Charlotte Voisey (President of Spirited Awards) and Jacob Briars (President of International Spirited Awards) will select the winners. Other juries include: Paul Clarke (President of Writing); Bridget Albert and Kiowa Bryan (US Jury Chairs); and Joseph Mortera. Lauren Mote, Claire Warner, Giuseppe Gallo, Micaela Piccolo, Zdenek Kastanek, Kurt Schlechter and Rebecca Sturt (International Jury Chairs).

The Spirited Awards®2019 take place on Saturday, July 20 from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The first Spirited After Hours party will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. An occasion to celebrate and toast this year’s winners.
