Thames y Loyola is a tasty cocktail flavoured with lavender, by bartender Meli Manhattan. It is made with lemon juice, ginger syrup and whiskey that extends the range of flavours.

Meli Manhattan is bartender at Bar 878 in Buenos Aires Argentina. Prior to this position, she had worked at various institutions such as El Quinto, or the Verne Club where she was Head bartender. She also hosts the Drink Me and Chicas Barra blogs, which deal with themes related to cocktails. Meli Manhattan is also promoting the website “How To Mix Drinks At Home”.

Ingredients

1 oz of pumpkin syrup

1 oz oz of ginger syrup

1 3/4 oz Monkey Shoulder whiskey

Glass type: old fashioned glass

Garnish: lemon twist

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients and perfume with smoked lavender. Garnish with a piece of lemon peel and serve in a whisky glass.
