The “Australian Gin Cocktail Cup” in the international spotlight
The gin trend in Australia continues to expand and their preference recognition is getting world-wide known. The Australian Gin competition is an ambassador of this oceanic jewel and is now here, proud to show off to the world its talented gin mixologists.
Participation is reserved only for the NSW industry. All candidates must use a total of six ingredients, with Australian gin as one of them and as the only spirit. They will have a list of more than 70 brands to choose from, which are part of the Sydney Gin Palooza.
The use of native Australian botanicals is also an obligation (either included in the gin itself or as one more ingredient). The result of this will be thus, a delightful 100% Australian gin cocktail!
Despite of the few limitations, the participating bartenders will have the freedom to get creative in order to impress the judges.
And to get even more into the Australian gin spirit, the competition will take place on November at Sydney’s Barber Shop, Australia’s Best Gin Bar of 2018.
The Fever-Tree sponsored price will be an all paid 3-day trip for two, to Tasmania where they will meet Bill Lark for a gin trail at reputed gin distillers.
The winning cocktail will also be served to guests at the 2019 Australian Gin Awards Presentation Dinner with an honorable mention as the “2018 Australian Gin Cocktail Cup Champion”.
