Readers of the USA Today newspaper rightly awarded him the title of “America Best Craft Whiskey Distillery 2018”.

Almost ten years ago, John Little and his father-in-law embarked on the adventure of artisanal distillation. By creating Smooth Ambler in the heart of the Appalachians, they chose to rely on the resources of a state that is both mountainous and rural. Ideal for making a whiskey because the spring water is pure !

In addition, local agriculture produces quality cereals, so the surrounding farms provide them with maize, rye, malt and wheat guaranteed GMO-free. Today, Smooth Ambler heats the still 7 days a week and distills 7000 litres of brandy a day and ages them in new American white oak barrels.

John Little is a true nugget finder. He offers this famous Old Scout, a blend of two whiskeys selected and bottled by the distillery: a 9-year-old Bourbon rich in rye and a 5-year-old whiskey with 51% bourbon. You can feel the sweetness of the corn, pretty spicy reliefs (cinnamon, caramel, nutmeg), a slight bitterness of cocoa and surprising fresh notes of mint.

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
