Jaeger-LeCoultre and Matthias Giroud create cocktails at The Stellar Atelier

The Swiss manufacturer has given carte blanche to mixologist Matthias Giroud to compose an original cocktail menu inspired by its universe and the brand’s environment through The Stellar Atelier.

How does the DNA of a house translate into a gastronomic experience? Following an immersion in the Jaeger-LeCoultre workshops in the Vallée de Joux, Matthias Giroud imagined an original non-alcoholic cocktail menu that echoes the heritage and know-how of the brand, founded in 1833.

Sun Infinity, Moon Exilir, Cosmo Blues, Valley of Wonders, Sweet Ruby… In total, a series of eight cocktails under two themes: “Heavenly Cocktails” and “Nature’s Cocktail.”

Matthias Giroud has concentrated his recipes on a selection of ingredients from the Vallée de Joux: verbena, juniper berries, blueberries, sweet chestnut…. It should be noted that each creation is also adorned with small decorative elements evoking the various trades represented in the Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture.

Presented for the first time at the Watches & Wonders 2022 watch fair in Geneva a few days ago, these drinks will be offered throughout the year to guests of the Grande Maison, the brand’s historic headquarters.

While the company distinguished itself last year by signing two cafés dedicated to its Reverso watch, cocktails currently seem to have the favor of luxury houses with, among others, a dedicated bar signed by Gucci in Florence and a Fendi Aperitivo in Miami. Is the customer experience – literally – a matter of taste?
