Two smoked cocktails made with mezcal
Traditionally, it is customary to serve mezcal straight with orange wedges and salt, but it is used for cocktails. Tequila lovers may have a tendency for mezcal and to vary the cocktail menu and your choice at the bar when tasting mezcal, we show you these cocktail recipes with mezcal which have a special feature since they are smoked.
1. Oaxaca Express by Alex Valencia from bar La Contenta NYC
Ingredients
2 oz Mezcal
3/4 oz cucumber juice
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz Jalapeño-agave
Pinch of basil
Method: Put all the ingredients into a shaker, add ice and double strain.
Garnish: Tajin Rim
Type of Glass: Double old fashion or rock glass
2. The Ahumadito by Alessandro Pasquinucci from bar Bloody Mary Cocktail Lounge
Ingredients
8 oz tomato juice
1 oz of secret sauce
1/2 oz of lemon
2 oz of Mezcal
2 dash chily habanero
Smoked salt
Pepper
Smoked with oak
Glass: highball or cooler glass
