An online course on spirits for 2000 bartenders during the coronavirus

Pernord Ricard UK and WSET have partnered to offer an online course to 2000 bartenders and hospitality professionals during the coronavirus. Read more here.

The online course, the WSET Level 1 Spirits, is available to any industry professional 18+. The program will take place online for four weeks.

“This is a difficult time for the industry on both a personal and professional level“. Said Daniel I’Anson, head of the Brand Engagement and Advocacy Team (BEAT) at Pernod Ricard UK.

“We know we can’t solve the whole problem, but we want to do what we can to keep everyone engaged, connected and positive. We are delighted to partner with the WSET on this initiative and look forward to training a record number of new WSET students“.

The package offered by Pernod Ricard UK includes a selection of eight of its leading spirits. These include Beefeater, Jameson and Absolut, which will be delivered to your home and used as tastings throughout the course. Students will also have access to the company’s BEAT team. They will be able to do so through their online channels for the duration of the course.

Students accepted on the course are also expected to attend a final exam (in London or Manchester) when possible. Those who are successful will receive the usual industry-recognized certificate and lapel pin.
