Diageo records +6 % on solid start of year 2020-2021
The British drinks group Diageo wins nearly 6% in London against Rémy Cointreau and Pernod Ricard.
Diageo is the world’s number one beverage group. Its financial year 2020-2021 is solid with this figure of 6% and especially thanks to a stronger than expected upturn in its activity in the United States.
“Our outlook for the first half of the 2021 financial year has improved since the end of the previous year, reflecting the good start to the year, particularly in the United States”. The group’s CEO, Ivan Menezes, stated.
It is worth noting that during the spring the group was hit from the closure of bars and restaurants caused by the covid-19 pandemic. Fortunately for Diageo, sales have picked up since the reopening and thanks to consumption at home.
