Japanese restaurant in Canada launches new culinary trend : Beer Ramen, a special dish to discover

A stein filled with beer with ramen inside, it is what we believe to perceive when we see this dish for the first time. However, to taste, it is not beer at all, and it was only a visual impression.

To try this unique dish, you have to go to Yuu Japanese Tapas, a restaurant located in British Columbia in the city of Richmond. In fact, the dish consists of ramen noodles, and a bonito broth. To obtain the foam on the top of the liquid, egg white and gelatin are used. The mixture is whipped until a frothy consistency is obtained. All is served cold in a mug of beer.

Accompanied by tempura vegetables, the dish is sold at $14, 95. Yuu Japanese Tapas’ menu also offers more traditional dishes, such as hot ramen and noodles served in bowls.

For those interested in beer brewed with noodles, try the Cup O ‘Beer, produced by the Collective Brewing Project in Texas.
