“If my first love were a cocktail, it would be a Ramona Flowers”
My first true love was full of passion and it was also pure, kind, respectful, and gentle. A vivid memory of this love is that she was extremely thoughtful and romantic. She always surprised me with countless beautiful bouquets of flowers to the point where our home was always full of flowers, especially during the summertime. So, I dedicate this cocktail to my dear friend Morgan, who to this day continues to always give love to everyone in a way that is beyond my comprehension. This cocktail is the closest I could come to putting all the love we shared into a glass.
1.5 oz Rosebud Infused Pisco
0.5 oz Floral Gin
0.5 oz Ruby Port
1.0 oz Bergamot Flower and Meyer Lemon Cordial
1 Dash Grapefruit Bitters
Garnish: Rose Foam and Flowers
Type of glass: Old Fashioned
Rose Foam*: Egg Whites, Dried Rosebuds, Meyer Lemon, Elderflower Liqueur, Water. Made using a whipped cream canister.
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, then shake with ice, double strain and serve neat into a chilled double old fashioned glass. Add Rose Foam to the top of the cocktail, garnish with your favorite flowers, sprinkle some love, blow it a kiss, and enjoy!
