Learn to prepare this sherry and rum cocktail recipe
This cocktail gives us a little ray of sunshine in these moments of confinement. So if you have what it takes you can get smart at home.
Prepared with Diplomático rum, the Trésor de Jerez, combines a Manzanilla sherry and a delicious sweet touch brought by the apricot, either in syrup or jam.
The Diplomático rum offers notes of vanilla and dried fruits that combine very well with the apricot, in addition to the bitter. Then the sherry balances the rounded side of the rum and the fruit thanks to its acidity.
30 ml aged rum (in this case Diplomático Mantuano)
60 ml of Manzanilla sherry
15 ml of syrup or apricot jam
7.5 ml of ZAP acid solution! Or lemon juice
15 ml of Ms Better’s Bitter or Angostura
Orange or Italian cherry slice
In a shaker, add the ingredients and shake vigorously. Pour the contents into a glass. Finish by decorating with the orange slice or an Italian cherry.
