Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards 2020: top ten nominees announced
Tales of the Cocktail announced the top 10 in each category of the Spirited Awards 2020. Discover the nominees here.
The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation (TOTCF) announced the top 10 in each category for the Spirited Awards 2020. Despite the COVID-19 Pandemic, the foundation continues to support the hospitality and spirits industry. However, this year will be different from past years, with a 14th all-digital ceremony. It is the hope of the organization that on July 21, 2020, the scheduled start date of Tales, smaller, on-site events will be held where it is safe and advisable to do so in accordance with CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) and state and local guidelines.
This year, a record number of entries are being submitted for the Spirited Awards® in all categories. With more geographic diversity than ever before, this is a testament to the hospitality industry’s continued participation.
The following awards will be announced on July 25, 2020 at the Spirited Awards® digital ceremony:
- Helen David Lifetime Achievement presented by William Grant & Sons
- Philanthropy presented by Santa Teresa 1796 Rum
- World’s Best Bar presented by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation
- Timeless American and Timeless International Award, both presented by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation
Nominees
The nominations are divided into four categories: “American Categories,” which collects nominations from the United States; “International Categories,” international nominations for the best of a country; “Writing & Media Categories,” journalism and literature nominations; and “Global Categories,” to nominate the best in the world. According to the initial 2020 timeline, the four finalists will be named on June 1, 2020.
